Ratio -
The relation between two quantities. Ratios can be expressed in fractions, decimals, percents or words. When your favorite baseball teams whens 4 games out of 5, the ratio is 4:5 or four out of five or 4/5.

Ray -
A straight line with one endpoint. In the direction away from the endpoint, the line extends to infinity.

Range -
The difference between the maximum and the minimum values in a set of data.

Rectangle -
A parallelogram or four sided geometric shape that has four right angles (90 degree angles).

Repeating Decimal -
A decimal with endlessly repeating digits. 5 divided by 3 will give a 1.6666666666666 forever.

Remainder -
The number that is left over when a numerator cannot be divided evenly by the denominator. 5 divided by 3 leaves a remainder of 2.

Right Angle -
An angle that measures exactly 90 degrees.

Right Triangle -
A triangle with a right angle.

Roman numeral -
A counting system using letters to represent numbers, where I = 1, V = 5, X = 10, L = 50, C = 100, D = 500, M = 1,000.
